Crowds turn out for P.V. festivities.
PENNSVILLE TWP Thousands overcame a warm and long-winded last breath of summer for Septemberfest here yesterday, making prime real estate out of shade trees as the mercury rose to nearly 90 degrees over one of Salem County"s biggest celebrations. 'It"s hot. Very hot,' said Pennsville resident Theresa Boss, who watched her 8-year-old Nick enjoying rides like The Sizzler in the midday sun. 'Not what I think about for September really, though it"s not stopping anyone. The kids sure don"t mind.' And what began as a day to slowly amble among the vendors and carnival rides at Riverview Beach Park was given a jolt of adrenaline as the thermometer dipped and a spectacular fireworks display welcomed the night. 'It"s always nice and hot on this day.
