Vowing to hold the Constituent Assembly polls in November as scheduled, Nepal Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala today claimed that Maoists, who recently quit the government, feared defeat in the key elections but said efforts are being made to ensure their participation in the exercise. 'I am committed to holding the Constituent Assembly polls on November 22,' Koirala said while expressing confidence that the Maoists would rejoin power. 'Efforts are being made for the Maoists" participation in the Constituent Assembly polls ... And I am confident that they will participate in the polls,' the Nepalese Prime Minister told PTI on the sidelines of an interaction programme organised by Nepal Press Union here. Terming the upcoming Constituent Assembly polls as a 'very big event,' Koirala said the Maoists must participate in them.
