Billy Bob Thorton’s Musical Multiple Personality Disorder

Billy Bob Thortons Musical Multiple Personality Disorder.
Billy Bob Thornton has been playing music since The Grateful Dead were The Warlocks. Billy Bob was a child of Malvern, Arkansas, where the railroads met on the way to Hot Springs. Thornton?s forty-year musical career is sometimes overshadowed by his film successes, but he finds his music no less important than his movies. The two have melded, especially in the jamband world. Thornton?s directorial debut was a film on Widespread Panic. He cast Col. Bruce Hampton and Vic Chesnutt in Sling Blade and has jammed onstage with Dickey Betts. More importantly than the myriad beautiful women, the Oscar, the four solo albums, the greatest portrayal of Santa Claus of all time, and having Johnny Cash cover one of his songs, Thornton has shoveled asphalt and starved to the point of hospitalization.

Many lending institutions may charge higher rates to the interest only loans because of the high risks of default. Interest only loans may seem borrower friendly on the surface and most lending institutions will be more than willing to accommodate you on this kind of a loan. But - Buyer Beware! Interest only loans are starting to drop in popularity due to the long - term interest rates dropping to record lows. These low rates are causing people to rethink their interest only loans and having them want to get out of the interested only loan and into a long term loan at a fixed rate.

The index should reach 50 percentage points, which shows balanced supply and demand on the market. tfn.newsdesk@thomson.com cm2/rfw COPYRIGHT Copyright AFX News Limited 2007. All rights reserved. Novice goose hunters get a lesson in patience

Novice goose hunters get a lesson in patience.
Or perhaps they were condos. Such are the types of questions that await metro Minneapolis goose hunters. Are the birds flying over apartments or condos? Also: Will we awaken nearby residents when we shoot? And: With so many restaurants nearby, where will we eat breakfast after the hunt? Minnesota"s early goose season opened Saturday a half-hour before sunrise, and six of us pondered these and other important matters. Don (Duckman) Helmeke and Wendell Diller were our leaders, with Christy Hurley, 31, and Nicholas Flesland, 12, the newcomers. My son Cole, 11, and I tagged along. Had we been sufficiently prepared, the geese that overflew us at dawn would have taken some losses. Close enough that their necks could be seen craning side to side, the birds would have been easy pickings.

Novartis to give MIT $65m to find new way to produce drugs.
Drug giant Novartis AG says it will give its Cambridge neighbor, MIT, $65 million over 10 years to create a research program, likely to be the biggest in the world aimed at revolutionizing the way drugs are made. The goal is to help companies move from making drugs in batches to using a continuous high-tech process that will save time and money. 'It would be a sea change,' said Tom Van Laar, global head of technical operations for the Swiss company, which over the past five years has established two major drug divisions in Cambridge - including its global headquarters for drug research - that employ about 1,500 scientists and other workers. The partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, set to be formally unveiled today, underscores the symbiotic relationship between the region"s booming life sciences sector and its academic research institutions.

GetSmart.com Suggests Ways to Use a Home Equity Loan
A Home equity loan can be a useful, tax deductible, way to tap equity that you have accumulated
in your home. As long as you borrow wisely, this may be a good resource for some much needed
cash.
Charlotte, N.C. (PRWEB) August 10, 2007 -- Whether you"re looking to pay for a costly education, find funding
to renovate your home, or cover the costs of a large unexpected expense, you might want to consider a home
equity loan. Home equity loans are great alternatives to putting major expenses on a credit card, and have a much
lower interest rate.
A home equity loan gives the borrower a lump sum of money at a fixed interest rate, with your home used to
guarantee the loan. The borrower then pays the money back in monthly installments.
So when is getting a home equity loan a good idea? GetSmart.com shares some insight:
College tuition
If you need access to money to finance your child"s college education, a home equity loan is something you may
want to consider, particularly if your child doesn"t qualify for a student loan.
Debt consolidation
A home equity loan is a good chance to pay down debt from several credit cards. Consolidating the credit card
debt into a home equity loan gives you the opportunity to get a much better interest rate and likely pay off your
balance more quickly.
A major one-time expense
Home equity loans can be used to finance large one-time expenses such as the purchase of a car or a home
renovation.
For more information on home equity loans, check out GetSmart.com Loan Resources.
About GetSmart
GetSmart is a leading financial services marketplace that offers borrowers access to a range of home loan
products such as mortgages and refinance loans, home equity loans and lines of credit from a network of more

and simple form and will then be matched with up to five competing lenders.

Four cases recorded of Chinese people buying Taiwanese real estate

Four cases recorded of Chinese people buying Taiwanese real estate.
Taipei, Aug. 23 (CNA) Only four applications from Chinese citizens for purchasing real estate in Taiwan have been approved since the government began allowing the practice in 2002, according to a news release issued by the Ministry of the Interior (MOI) Thursday. The reason so few applications have been approved is that Beijing not only imposes strict measures to control its foreign exchange reserves but has also been reluctant to list Taiwan as a place in which Chinese people can purchase real estate, the news release said. The MOI drew up regulations governing Chinese people acquiring, creating or transferring property rights on Taiwanese real estate Aug. 8, 2002 after the Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) began allowing Chinese people to buy and own real estate in Taiwan under certain conditions.

Dream ride to Cape, but a nightmare driving home

Dream ride to Cape, but a nightmare driving home.
For thousands of visitors, going to Cape Cod over Memorial Day weekend was much easier and more pleasant than heading home. The new $60 million flyover, which erased the hated rotary at the base of the Sagamore Bridge, smoothed Cape-bound travel on Friday and Saturday. But drivers returning from the Cape Monday found themselves in a worse-than-usual traffic nightmare, with backups that stretched as far as 17 miles to Yarmouth at midafternoon. To avoid a repeat this summer, state transportation officials said yesterday they plan to install electronic signs urging vacationers to stagger their departure from the Cape as well as their arrival. Officials said they will also look at possible changes to the roadways around Exit 1, where Route 6A merges into Route 6 at the base of the bridge.

If you read the news, you know we are heading into a down real estate market, one that I predict will fall much more before it hits bottom and starts to rebound. There are many telltale signs that support this prediction. Until this past spring, I had not been approached by a builder offering to discount a new spec home in more than three years. In the last two months, I?ve been approached by five different developers trying to unload properties that they built expecting to turn quickly for big profits. .

Visit SILive.com"s new real estate section for your Staten Island Real Estate needs.
silive.com/realestate can provide you with a customized map of homes for sale, as well as tools
and information to help you find houses for rent and new homes on Staten Island.
Staten Island, NY (PRWEB) August 9, 2007 -- The Staten Island real estate market has a new driving force. This
weekend when house hunters set out to look at homes for sale or rent, they"ll be armed with a customized route
map. A quick visit to silive.com/realestate provides all the tools and information a potential buyer or renter needs
to locate available homes and plan a road trip to see them.
Sophisticated technology and a smart user interface are changing the way home seekers find houses, apartments,
lenders as well as Staten Island Real Estate Agents and Brokers. By providing all the tools in one place, the
upgraded site gives everyone in the market for a home a one-source destination. silive.com/realestate even helps
with decision making. The first time home buyer might use the site to select an agent or broker. Empty nesters
can weigh the options: downsize, buy a condo or rent an apartment.
The centerpiece of the upgraded Real Estate site is the Advance Mapping Tool and Driving Tour functionality.
Front and center at the new silive.com/realestate is an intuitive interactive map. When visitors search Staten
Island homes for sale or houses for rent on Staten Island, they enter their choices including location, number of
bedrooms, price range and listing type (Advanced Search offers even more options). Select SEARCH and the
map becomes a one-of-a-kind annotated guide showing all the selections. When the visitor is finished, the map
and driving directions are printed out and the tour begins.
SILive.com is already a first choice destination for Staten Island local news, information and classified ads.
Home buyers often start with a visit to the site because they expect, and get, comprehensive local real estate news
and listings. According to Barbara Chodos, General Manager of SILive.com, 'SILive.com is already a first-stop
for many in the real estate market. With the new tools and easier access to everything a home buyer or renter
needs, we expect to see a significant increase in traffic.'
Unlike many other sites, visitors to silive.com/realestate come from every stage of the real estate
decision-making cycle. Some are deciding whether to rent or buy; others are debating the benefits of a new home
vs. an older home or comparing one town to another. For each of them, there is much more than the Driving
Tour. A quick scroll down the page reveals many more options. For those who are 'just looking' tools and
resources are a quick link away. Learn about recent home sales, mortgage rates or foreclosures. Watch videos of
local real estate brokers. Select an agent. The sophisticated buyer of residential or commercial real estate will
turn to silive.com/realestate again and again to check current information and listings.
SILive.com focuses on the local market. Local real estate news is accessed directly from silive.com/realestate.
Since SILive.com is affiliated with the Staten Island Advance, the news is current and comprehensive. All home
seekers have the tools, resources and information they need, all available at one site.
The new silive.com/realestate is an example of the unique approach that the site uses -- combining smart,
technological tools and comprehensive local information to deliver the everyday information local residents and
visitors need and want. 'The Driving Tour is the perfect tool for home buyers. It is an excellent example of the
way we continually upgrade our site to satisfy the needs of the local market,' states Barbara Chodos.
